終於將去年到臺南一逰的照片灌進電腦裡。
我們 （蜜，佩玲，梅謹，秦）在古城巷弄間拾掇許多童年的回憶
這只葉折草蜢帶給我們念舊情懷。
其他重要景點全含美食：蝦丸，肉丸，蝦卷，枝仔冰。。。

微波爐燒水，當心！
五天以前我一位朋友決定要泡一杯即溶咖啡，
他將一杯水放在微波爐加熱（這種動作他曾經做過無數次了），
我不確定他設定加熱幾分鐘?
但他告訴我他要水加熱到沸騰的程度，
當微波爐加熱完畢，他將那杯水拿出來，
當他看了那杯水後他發現水並沒有沸騰，
但就在那瞬間，那杯水在他的臉上爆開來，
杯子保持完好無缺，直到他將那杯水丟出手中，
但由於龐大的能量使得所有的水都飛濺到他的臉上，
他整個臉上都起了水泡並且至少有１度及２度的灼傷，
而可能留下水泡的痕跡且他的左眼也可能會損失部份的視力，
在醫院中，他的主治醫師說這是相當普遍的意外事件，
"水絕對不能在微波爐中單獨加熱，
如果要用這種方法加熱水，
杯子裡應該放些東西，
例如：木製的攪伴棒或茶包等的東西，來幫助擴散能量，
無論如何將水放在
茶壺內烹煮會是較安全的加熱方式。
不只是水，純液體都會突然滾沸。

老驢與垃圾
好久沒上布落格， 才發現大家一定也很忙！最近沒什么留言。 希望大家平安如意；無憂無病。
貼上個小故事和你共勉！也許我們不是老驢！但身邊的垃圾倒是有的。如果能用此留 言 倒倒垃圾也是好的。
一頭老驢﹐掉到了一個廢棄的陷阱裏﹐很深﹐根本爬不上來。主人看它是老驢﹐懶得去救它了﹐讓它在那裏自生自滅。那頭驢一開始也放棄了求生的希望﹐每天還不斷地有人往陷阱裏面倒垃圾。按理說老驢應該很生氣﹐應該天天去抱怨﹐自己倒霉掉到了陷阱裏﹐它的主人不要它﹐就算死也不讓它死得舒服點﹐每天還有那麼多垃圾扔在它旁邊。
可是有一天﹐它決定改變自己的態度﹐它每天都把垃圾踩到自己的腳下﹐從垃圾中找到殘羹來維持自己的生命﹐而不是被垃圾所淹沒。終於有一天﹐它重新回到了地面上。

小江的话
附上相片兩張, 這是我和 聰玲 9 月1日 在 NYC 的 China Town 碰面, 她先生 請我和 Karen 一起吃晚飯時候照的.
他們從 NJ 開車到 NYC 單程 將近兩個小時 , ( 聰玲到 NYC 採購 做項鍊飾品的材料) , 我們用手機連絡 , 約好時間和地點. 很容易就找到彼此了!
我和小徐將近 十年多沒碰面了! 這也是我第一次見到 Teresa 的先生 Richard, 他是位溫文儒雅的老帥哥喔! 小徐能有個疼愛她的好伴侶, 真為他們感到高興 !
雖然我們只有短短的兩個小時相聚, 但是充滿了溫馨和歡樂的記憶!
P.S. 我因為女兒的工作關係, 她剛剛被派到 NYC, 預計要待四個月, 公司提供免費的住宿和 旅費, 所以 我趁著 Labor Day 假日的 Long weekend 到此一遊 感受一下紐約客的生活.
NYC 有很多著名景點 各大百貨公司 高樓林立 五光十色,. 繁華熱鬧. 在紐約市區 像台灣一樣,路邊很多地攤和賣小吃的, 滿街的計程車 不過搭地鐵和走路都非常方便. 可是街道上 行人的步伐都走的很匆忙.
旅遊心得: 可以到 NYC 旅遊, 度假, 購物 ; 不過我還是喜歡 加州 小城市的生活和天氣!

Hi Folks,
We just came back from Europe after 11 days of travel. It was very convenience to have a Europass and take a train to each country. We went to Germany (Frankfurt & Heidelberg), Switzerland (Brig, Zermatt, Zurich), Italy (Venice, which was unique) and London (one night). We are pretty sure that we'll remember this unforgettable vacation. We really enjoyed the beautiful Alps Mountains in Switzerland and we wish we could stay there longer. We also liked touring the 14th century castle in Heidelberg, but missed a boat cruise on the Neckar River due to lack of time. We have discovered more things to do next time.
We took about 800 pictures.

Lih-jane's Son
Lih-jane's son, Aaron is home now enjoying mom's home cooking. He will be heading to Georgia and then Seattle for further training. The two photos were taken at his commissioning ceremony. Lih-jane is proud of her son, and is being busy cooking good stuff (what are you cooking for him?) for Aaron!

Posting a Comment 意見
This new blog's template confused some of you. The "意見" icon was too close to "email" icon. I know at least three people accidently clicked the "email" (as an envelop) sign and didn't know how to proceed.
The new blog is functioning exactly as the "old" one except that the template is different (somehow the old template was not among the selections).
To make posting comments easier and less confusing, I selected a new template which keeps the "comment" ( 意見) icon far away from others. You can see clearly how many comments have been posted. To post a comment, simply click the 意見 icon; write your comment inside a box and then follow the instruction to post it. You do NOT need to be google member to post a comment!
I hope this helps.

New Blog
Dear friends,
I hope you will continue to support our new blog. The address is similar to our old one (only missing a number "5"). Still you can visit the old blog to view photos; but Peilin and I will start posting new photos here on the new blog. Post your recent comments on the new blog!

It's been a fruitful summer. Not only that I had a chance to collect data for my research, I also visited so many "old" friends (though they all look young). Last weekend in Taipei, we had a reunion (Nati was the organizer. Lucia, Anita, Eva, Ida, 兆中, Aurora and 淑珍 attended) and it was a great fun!
I have been lucky to be back several years in a row and get reacquainted with old friends and their children. I met Eva's son and daughter, Anita's son and Lucia's daughter last year; this year I met Nati's daughter and 淑珍's son(because I stay in Kaohsiung, I see 滿惠's daughters more often and get to know them better). They are all great kids -- mature and polite; they all seem to have good relationship with their parents. I believe we should give credit to all those mothers.
There will be another reunion in the southern part of Taiwan. The High Speed Train shortens the distance between Taipei and Kaohsiung, so if those of you who live outside of Kaohsiung/Tainan are interested in joinning us, let us know you are coming. We will have lunch this Saturday (天 野). 聽說 不少台南同學也 會南下 一會. 甫自西藏歸來的 梅瑾 會帶來 美麗的相片.
